Real Murcia, from Spain's third tier, grabbed a heroic 0-0 draw with giants Real Madrid in the Copa Del Rey. The first-leg of the fourth round clash saw Jose Mourinho's side travel to Murcia and despite naming a very strong side with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Iker Casillas, Sergio Ramos, Lassina Diarra and Gonzalo Higuain included - Madrid could not find a way past. Murcia goalkeeper Dani Hernandez made second-half saves to deny Ronaldo, Pedro Leon and substitute Angel Di Maria to keep Madrid from taking the lead in the first leg match. Madrid controlled the game at the Nueva Condomina stadium as it was determined not to repeat last year's 4-0 first leg defeat to minnow Alcorcon at the same stage. Third-tier clubs have eliminated Madrid in the fourth round the past two seasons. The second-leg at the Santiago Bernabeu takes place in two weeks.
Meanwhile, Barcelona made easier work of their first-leg clash at lowly Ceuta with a 2-0 win.Barca travelled to Ceuta, which is actually on the Northern tip of Africa, and sealed a comfortable victory ahead of the second-leg.Maxwell opened the scoring after 16-minutes before Pedro doubled their lead just ten minutes later.
